Blues & Soul review Jody Watley's Nightlife & pick the Dave Doyle mix as their favourite! ;-)6/11/2013 WOW, Jody Watley's Single Nightlife has just got a lovely review in Blues & Soul mag by Lee Tyler who picked the Dave Doyle mix as the B&S favourite of the bunch.. ;-)
HERES THE REVIEW: It's a very warm welcome back into the spotlight for one time Shalamar member / soul music icon Jody Watley. "Nightlife", a sneaky peek from her forthcoming 2014 album is a stirring, deftly vocalised and above all 'catchy' cracker. The three versions I had the privilege to rap my ears around include: My fave, Dave Doyle's mix, with a kinda funked-up Brand New Heavies uber cool vibe. The rhythm driven, chunky beat banger care of Jodie Harsh. Or why not try Soulpersona's do not pass go, go directly to the charts mix! lol. Ok, that's not what it's called, but I think you know what I'm trying to say - the 'Disco Mix' as it's known, should easily make sure a version of this dance floor pleaser should feature in a chart near you soon!
